Riff Wiki:Privacy policy

No account is required to read or to edit, nothing is sold, and nothing here goes to an advertiser.

• Server logs. IP address, time, page, referrer, browser string and the rest of what the request sent. Kept; the IP address in a line goes after a year. Used to keep the site up and to clear out spam.
• Edits without an account. They go in unsigned. Your IP address is not written into the page history and is not shown anywhere on the wiki.
• Accounts. User name (public) and password (stored as a hash). No e-mail address is asked for and none is kept, so there is nothing here to mail you with.
• Cookies. One when you log in, kept a month. Another the first time you save an edit, kept a year, so a later edit can be recognised as yours. No tracking script rides along with any of them.

Anything you save on a page, including the edit summary, is public and stays in the page history for as long as the wiki runs.
